For clarity under GDPR, your organization (the owner of the SCATI recorders/VMSS) acts as the Data Controller for any personal data processed through SCATI VISION GO. SCATI Labs, S.A. acts as a Data Processor, providing the application and associated services strictly under the instructions of your organization.

What information does SCATI VISION GO collect about me?

When your Provider creates a SCATI VISION GO account or when you configure your connection to SCATI VISION devices, we may receive personal information about you. This may include:

Your name, email address, and company name (if applicable)
Connection settings related to your SCATI VISION devices or SCATI VMS SERVICE (VMSS)
Device identifiers and configuration data (such as the list of cameras you have chosen to add)
Application and device usage data (e.g., settings, preferences, and access logs)

SCATI VISION GO does not collect or store video itself. All video streams (live and recorded) are requested directly from your SCATI VISION recorders or through your configured proxy service. Metadata such as selected camera names or connection logs may be stored for service functionality and troubleshooting.

We do not collect payment details (credit cards or similar). Your payment relationship, if any, is with your Provider, not with SCATI VISION GO.

Will SCATI VISION GO view my video data?

Under the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you remain the owner and data controller of your personal video data.

SCATI VISION GO acts as a client application and does not permanently store your video streams. Video is only transmitted for playback when you request it (live or recorded).

We will only access your video data in these exceptional cases:

With your explicit consent, for example if you request technical support
If legally required by law enforcement authorities in accordance with applicable regulations

How will SCATI VISION GO use the information collected?

SCATI VISION GO uses your personal information exclusively to:

Provide and operate the SCATI VISION GO service
Enable connection and authentication with SCATI VISION recorders or VMSS
Manage your list of devices and cameras
Allow you to access live and recorded video streams by date and time
Improve service reliability, security, and performance
Contact you for essential service administration purposes (e.g., password reset, system notifications, service interruptions)
We may also use anonymized and aggregated data for analytics to improve the application experience

SCATI implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted communications (TLS), secure proxy connections, authentication controls, and regular security audits.

Legal basis for processing

Our processing of personal data satisfies at least one of the following:

How long will SCATI VISION GO keep your information?

Connection settings and device lists are kept until you delete them, or your account is removed.

Support-related information is deleted once the issue is resolved, unless required for legal compliance.

Will SCATI VISION GO share my information with anyone else?

We will never sell your personal information. We may share it only when:

It is necessary with service providers (e.g., hosting, security) under strict confidentiality agreements
Required by law, regulation, or legal process
With your explicit consent

Where is my data stored?

SCATI VISION GO is a Progressive Web App (PWA). It does not store video data on clouds. All video data remains in your SCATI VISION recorders or in your configured proxy/VMSS service

Application configuration data and logs may be stored on secure servers located within the European Union. No international transfers of personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) are performed by SCATI Labs, S.A., unless explicitly required by your organization through its own system configurations.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of incorrect or incomplete data
Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
Restrict or object to certain processing activities
Data portability (receive your data in a portable format)
File a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) if you believe your rights are violated
